Step 1: How to register a Domain name and Host your website
The first step to creating your WordPress site is registering a domain name and getting a host. A domain name is a unique address of your website that people type into the browser to access your website’s contents. This can be any name of your choice but should be something that relates to the type of website or business you intend to develop with WordPress.
Another important rule when choosing a domain name is to make it easy to remember. Domain name registration is usually something different from a web hosting service. While a domain name is the name of your web site, web hosting is your data storage and management platform on a web server for your web site where you can create customized business email address, database, File transfer, SSH e.t.c
Step 2 Select a hosting provider and a hosting plan

Below is the step by step process on how to register a domain name and host your WordPress web site with Jovehost Manage Cloud Hosting Service.
Go now to the WordPress hosting page and select a plan by click on the “Buy Now” button under any plan of your choice to purchase your domain name and hosting service.

Enter your domain name into the text box highlighted “Register a new domain” and click on the “Check” button. This option will check the availability of your domain name to be sure it has not been registered before.
If you already have a domain name register somewhere and want to transfer it here, you can simply select the appropriate option for that.

On the next page, you will be required to configure your Webhosting order.

Option 2: How to install WordPress via cPanel and autoinstallers
Login to your cPanel using the username and password that was sent to your email after ordering a WordPress hosting package from Jovehost. The direct link should be www.yourdomainname.com/cpanel this will now load a screen like the one below for entering your login details:
Login to your cpanel, Scroll down and look for the tab labeled “Software” and click on “Softacolous App Installer“

On the next page that loads, Click on the “Install” button or “Install now” button
Configure your installation

Note: Any value In the directory field, close to your domain name which is usually “wp” should be deleted so your installation will be on your main web site, else you may be accessing your WordPress installation like this www.domainname.com/wp which is not what we want to do.

When are done with filling the relevant fields, as shown above, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the “Install” button to begin your installation process this will take only a few seconds to complete.
When your installation is successful you will get a screen like this below. Since this is your first installation, simply click on the WordPress administrative URL to entre directly to your WordPress dashboard
Be sure to save your URL in case you need to log in again after this session.

Step 4: Selecting your free WordPress theme
The Look and feel of your WordPress site will be determined by the Theme that you use. The layout for a blog that wants to publish articles will be quite different from a website that is designed for a company.
There are thousands of free WordPress themes that you can easily install from your dashboard while others may be premium themes that you can pay for. Theme forest for example is one of the most popular theme publishers to get professional premium themes from.
To change your theme go to Appearance > Theme > Add New button
You can take your mouse over to a theme, and you will see a Preview button. Clicking on it will open the theme preview where you can see how the design would look on your website when installed.
Search and select a theme and click on the Install button, when installed successfully, the next step is to activate it
For this example we are using the theme named “Personal Blog” you can search for this on or another to install on your WordPress site.
The next step is to configure your theme. Firstly, Installing the plugins that came with the theme, and secondly, import the demo so you can start building from the demo that came with the theme.

And the different themes are shipped with different plugins depending on the features that came with them.
Go ahead and Click Begin installing plugin and that will be required before you can import demo contents.
For our theme, we only have one plugin that needs to be installed. Like we stated earlier all theme comes with different plugins so another may come with more than what we are seeing with this example.
Now go ahead and click on install. Then hit Return to Required Plugins Installer link to activate your plugin.
